I see it all the time, people teaming up to train, and I can tell that it's not a good fit. One guy wants to talk to girls, while the other guy is waiting to do a set. Or one person cancels or shows up super late all the time. It's hard enough to meet up for a workout with our busy lifestyles, never mind committing to actually being partners with someone. In fact, I've only had consistent partners for about 8 total years out of the 26 years I've been training seriously. I now prefer to train alone most of the time for various reasons, but that makes teaming up for the occasional session a lot of fun.
